Four politicians from four different political parties attended an event at the Károli Gáspár University of RHC on the evening of 14th March. They discussed their opinions about education, social inequalities and relationship issues in the midst of the political campaign.

Voices from the new Synod

All of the four church districts represent themselves in the Presidium of the Synod of the Reformed Church in Hungary, which elected its leadership at its constituting meeting on 25th February 2015. The new office holders shared their thoughts and plans for their work in the upcoming 6 years term. At its next session, the Synod will elect the new General Secretary of RCH and decide on the priorities of its work.  

New Presidency of RCH elected

At its constituting meeting on 25th February the new General Synod elected its ministerial and lay Presidents for the coming 6 years. The outgoing Presiding Bishop Gusztáv Bölcskei has been succeeded by Dr. István Szabó. The number of women has tripled in the new Synod.

We ushered in the New Year full of thanksgiving for the things that happened within the Reformed Church in Hungary. Looking back at 2014, some of the highlights include:Unity and Solidarity, Parnerships, Communication campaigns, Syond Meeting, international Guests, Revision and Research reports, New translation edition of the Bible and Calvin Insitutes, the Holocust Jubilee, 10 years of the Accra Confession, Church Electoins and other events.
