Ecumenical guests journeyed to Starpoint from 11 countries and 16 partner churches of the RCH. Some expected a conference while others were surprised that, here, youthful songs were being sung. They said that because of the free space and informality, young people are able to turn to God the way it feels good to them. We spoke with eight out of the 31 guests, and we also asked them of their favorite Bible verse that gives them strength.

At this year's Starpoint, we want to show you how we are all surrounded by God’s love, even if we don't feel it or we haven't recognized it yet. In 2019, Debrecen will, again, host the meeting of the Reformed young people of the Carpathian Basin. This time, the theme will be unity and community.

As part of a developing partnership of solidarity with churches in the Middle East, four young people from the region attended this year’s Starpoint Youth Festival in Debrecen, Hungary. During their time in Hungary, the delegates sat down with the RCH to discuss their experiences of church in their homeland and what it was like experiencing a Christian festival of this scale in Europe.

Days at the RCH’s Starpoint Youth Festival are organized for optimal spiritual growth – each activity and gathering seeks to promote this. Thought-provoking and relatable speakers will talk to participants each day and their messages will be driven home through a variety of engaging free-time activities open to festival-goers.

Preparations are well underway for Starpoint, a biannual gathering for Reformed youth in the Carpathian Basin that will take place this summer. Over 3,000 youth will be in attendance, with 50 guests coming from international churches, for the festival discussing the topic of the Reformation.
