The Reformed Theological University in Debrecen consecrated ten new honorary doctors at the Reformed College in Debrecen on 21 November. The event was organized on the occasion of Reformed College's 475th anniversary.

Rev. Dr. Jerry Pillay is the president of the World Communion of Reformed Churches, of which the RCH is a member church, and also the General Secretary of the Presbyterian Church in South Africa. He recently made a trip to Hungary where he received an honorary doctorate from the Debrecen Reformed Theological University. Nicolaus Schneider, president of the Evangelical Church in Germany has received an honorary doctorate Tuesday from Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary alongside German literature professor August Stahl and English history professor Martyn Charles Rady.
