November Synod meeting to include international guests
2012. október 24., szerdaAn important time in the life of the church is drawing near! The biannual meeting of the General Synod will be held at the Synod Office of the Reformed Church in Hungary on 14-17 November. This session of the Synod will focus on the future of our church, as the newly founded Church Revision Committee gives its first report on reform and revitalization within our congregations
Additionally, for the first time in the history of our church, delegates from partner churches around the world have been invited and will be in attendance of this, the most significant gathering of our church's governing body. After the presentation of the Church Revision Committee, international delegates will attend a specially scheduled meeting to join in conversation and give feedback to the Synod.
They will be able to witness firsthand the ministry of the RCH with a visit to KIMM, a Reformed Drug Rehabilitation Home in Ráckeresztúr. During this time, partners and members of the Synod will be able to share in community and strengthen relationships as the RCH reflects, and looks to the future.
Attending delegates include: Reformed churches from France and America and Protestant churches from the Netherlands, Germany, Korea, Lithuania, Czech Republic and South Africa.
