Learn Hungarian with Us!
2019. április 12., péntekThe Refugee ministry of RCH in cooperation with its implementing partner offers language courses not just for refugees but all who wish to speak the Hungarian language.
Can’t pronounce the names of the streets? Feel awkward with shop assistants? No idea how to order coffee, beer, food? Your mother-in-law does not understand you? Doctors do not either? Beszélsz kicsit but want to know more? Our aim is to help you overcome your everyday obstacles and provide you with practical knowledge. Ha már beszélsz magyarul, barátságos környezetben gyakorolhatsz és tanulhatsz még többet.
Kalunba Social Services Ltd. serves as the implementing partner of the RCH Diaconal Office, supported greatly by international partner churches of RCH. The ministry takes a comprehensive approach to integration work among refugees, with the conviction that services are people-centered and tailored to meet each individual’s needs. The goal is to empower clients, helping them to become independent. Kalunba provides three main areas of service: housing, education, and employment.
Kalunba's Hungarian language classes are open to everyone. Learning the local language may not only help one to get by more easily but also provides increased opportunities for one's work of mission, for breaking down walls and reaching out and forming relationships with recognized refugees who have no other place to go. The money received from this program directly funds Hungarian language lessons for those who are unable to pay for the classes. For the reasons mentioned above, we would very highly appreciate if you could help us advertise our Hungarian language courses among international members of your congregation.
The Refugee Ministry of the Reformed Church in Hungary is organized under the Unit for Refugee Integration, which is part of the RCH’s Diaconal Office and works with Kalunba Social Services Nonprofit Ltd. as implementing partner.
We create bridges between cultures. When you come to learn with us, you have the opportunity to help not only yourself, but others, to cope in everyday situations. The money received from this program directly funds Hungarian language lessons for those who are unable to pay for the classes.
