I greet you in the name of our resurrected Lord and our Savior Jesus Christ, wishing you an Easter full of goodness and heavenly blessings.

During the Lent season, we have been preparing ourselves for the celebration of the most important event in our Christian faith, which is the glorious resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead. The resurrection of our Lord Jesus brings us an amazing reality: “To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious richness of this mystery, which is Christ in you the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27). As a result Christianity becomes the presence of our living Lord in our own lives, privately and collectively.

When we look around, we notice how political and economic conflicts take place all over the world, especially in our beloved homeland Syria and these conflicts affect us in so many ways. But in the midst of all, God has the power to renew our hope.

On Easter Sunday, we greet one another with the words of hope saying: “Christ is Risen!” This is a declaration of life which gives us hope. It is a hope of resurrection and life. There is death, yes, but there is certainly life and hope in our Lord Jesus Christ and His glorious resurrection. This we proclaim to our dear friends who struggle in our own city of Aleppo.

The miraculous resurrection of Christ must always remind us that there is only one truth and this is that our Lord Jesus Christ on that Easter Sunday so many years ago won an eternal victory over death.

Now it is up to us to remember this fact, not once a year but every day of our lives and live this message of life!

Glory and power be to Him, who loved us, saved us and called us with a holy calling to preach his glorious resurrection to every human being and through the power of His resurrection live and witness for Him.
