Korean-speaking Reformed Congregation in Budapest
Since 2012 the Reformed Church in Hungary has a Korean speaking ministry, supervised by the Presbyterian Church in Korea (PCK), recognized as a mission congregation by the Synod of the Reformed Church in Hungary.

The Korean Presbyterian community organized by the pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Korea was recognized as a congregation of the Reformed Church in Hungary, thus established as such by a Synod resolution in 2012. According to its legal status the Korean-speaking Reformed Congregation in Budapest is a mission congregation that has an autonomous legal status with all rights included.
Rev. Jeong Chae Hwa, senior pastor of the Korean-speaking Reformed Congregation in Budapest, supervised by our partner-church, the Presbyterian Church in Korea.
Chae – Hwa Jeong and his family came to Hungary in January, 2003 to serve as a mission coworker of the Reformed Church in Hungary. He and his wife, Jung Hye Yung have two daughters and one son. He teaches Bible studies in Greater Grace International School, is involved in Roma ministry and serves as a pastor in the Korean congregation.
Legal status of the Congregation:
As a mission congregation the KRC has an autonomous legal status with all rights included
Organizational characteristics of the Korean-speaking Reformed Congregation in Budapest:
· Is established as a congregation of the RCH through the Synod resolution Is embedded into the structure of presbyteries and districts
· Acknowledges the confessions and teachings of the church
· Acknowledges the constitutional order of the church
· It’s a unique ministry which does not have territorial character
· Its language is Korean
· Elects its consistory out of its members – along its own rule
